A gentler way to enjoy the aroma of Oudh, Bakhoor is the name given to Agarwood chips soaked in fragrant oils like jasmine and sandalwood to soften and sweeten the heavy scents, or essential oils of amber and citrus to add fresh notes to the rising vapors. Often, the pieces are burned over charcoal to release fragrant vapors to fill a room.
